The David Dean Foundation seeks to improve the well being of people, especially those who are underprivileged or marginalized, so that together we can build a better community.
The goals of The David Dean Foundation are in no particular order and will often be happening concurrently or even collaboratively.
- Establish a fund for charity care. Charity care funds are used to help people who are unable to afford medical costs. Sometimes even those who have insurance coverage can have deductibles as high as $10,000! For those who do not have that much money, this cost often prevents them from going to the doctor or even getting life saving procedures. The Foundation plans to work with local health care professionals to provide as many options for those in need as possible.
- Promote economic development. The Foundation, through our Rustbelt Revitalization division, plans to provide space for entrepreneur incubation. This is a process where someone with a business idea is given office or storefront space along with some guidance and consulting as they try to turn their idea into success.
- Support Social Justice. The Foundation seeks to promote equality in all that it does. The Foundation will seek ways to work collaboratively with other like-minded causes to improve the well-being of all people.
